The Podorsil FCP is a bi-component fluid silicone elastomer with fast setting. Its damping properties are extraordinary. This silicone is especially indicated for calcaneal apophysitis, metatarsalgia of various origins, atrophy of the plantar pad and perforating plantar pains. Description of Podorsil FPC

Podorsil FPC: Its mode of use and its crosslinking

Take the two equal quantities (A and B) desired and then mix them
Pour this mixture either inside a made mold, or directly on certain thermoformed foams or even filling the hollow part of certain thermoformed materials.
The degassing is done naturally
To reduce the SHORE hardness, add the appropriate proportion of medical silicone oil.
If the casting is done in a plaster mold, it is then advisable to pass a demolding agent before (Example: vaseline).
Regarding its crosslinking:

Mixing time: 30 seconds

Working time: +/- 5 minutes

Crosslinking time: +/- 15 minutes

The higher the product temperature, the shorter the times will be. Conversely, the lower the product temperature, the longer the times will be. If you want more time to handle the product, then put it in the fridge. Another important point: The greater the amount of medical oil, the longer the working and crosslinking times will be.

Information on the crosslinked product

The pure Podorsil FCP has a shore A hardness between 8.50 and 10 after the 30th minute and after 24 hours of crosslinking.
The hardness can be reduced by adding medical silicone oil from 10 to 40% relative to the A + B mixture
Below, a table to know the volumes of each part. Calculate the volume of oil from the chosen percentage, then distribute the remaining volume equally. It is not advisable to go above 50% oil, the product disintegrating from this limit.

The tear resistance is inversely proportional to the hardness: This should be taken into account in case of risk of cutting the product hence the importance of the cover. This will be done with flexible and elastic materials. However, its resistance to pressure, without deformation of the product, is completely preserved.
