The resin is then photopolymerized with the titanium to prevent it from returning to its normal shape and being constantly pushed back.
This method, like the Bacquart strip method, is said to be non-invasive, which means that it can be used even on at-risk patients such as diabetics.

To perform one with a Bacquart strip, the instruments necessary for the operation include said strip, some glue, a cutting pliers, a compress and an applicator to help place the titanium wire more easily.
For an orthonyxie by photopolymerization, the kit consists of a titanium wire, resin contained in a syringe, a cutting pliers as well as a milling machine and its bits if ever the shape of the nail needs to be reworked beforehand. It also includes a Led lamp, a brush and an applicator.
